Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system designed to consolidate lighting, connectivity, sensing and other site services into a single vertical structure. The company says the updated platform responds to demand from municipalities, campuses and commercial developers for multifunction infrastructure that can expand what a site offers without adding visual clutter or requiring separate poles for each service.

SHUFFLE is built around a vertical pole that can host Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and electric-vehicle charging. Its modular components are intended to simplify customization and allow the system to be adapted as site requirements change. According to Landscape Forms, the integrated approach brings modern aesthetics and operational efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.

Configuration and new features

Landscape Forms has also introduced a build feature on its website to streamline configuration. Clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and select from options within each category. The relaunch includes plug-and-play additions such as a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.

The modular design is intended for both specialized environments and general public spaces. Landscape Forms identifies potential applications including university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals. In these settings, the combination of communication features and adaptable components is positioned as a way for site managers to address a range of requirements through one system.

Design intent and applications

Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder, described SHUFFLE as a solution aimed at site designers and said it is intended to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as needs evolve. Lee also emphasized that safety and connectivity should be integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them.

Jordan Agustin, president of lighting at Landscape Forms, said the relaunch reflects the company's view that technology and design should work together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He added that the new features are intended to enhance both the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while supporting Landscape Forms' mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.

The relaunch positions SHUFFLE as part of a broader move toward consolidated street and site infrastructure. By combining multiple functions in one pole, the system aims to reduce the need for separate equipment while preserving a coherent visual presence.
