Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, aligning the Bedfordshire supplier with the RAJA Group brand used across Europe.
The company said it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998. It is part of the RAJA Group, founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names gave the company its name.
One brand across 19 markets
According to the company, using the group name gives customers a single recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the name had changed but what customers rely on had not, pointing to the same people, the same product range and the same next-day service. He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the business had also made planning easier with a free tool that puts a number on what the busiest weeks will cost.
Free Prepare for Peak tool
The name change comes alongside RAJA UK's free Prepare for Peak tool, intended to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.
Users choose their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, based on benchmarks that blend Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own figures, such as parcels a day and people packing.
The company said the tool provides an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation.
